Welcome, my name is John, I am a qualified and experienced BACP accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist working with clients online who may be experiencing symptoms of stress, depression or anxiety and related conditions.
I offer a collaborative and client-led approach and a free first evaluation session.
In our sessions, you set the agenda and I bring to bear my knowledge of integrative therapy principles, cognitive-behavioural techniques, psychodynamic theory, and evidence-based science to help you attain your goals.
In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress.
I will work with you to understand where the issues come from and what we can do to overcome them. This will involve working out why this is happening, then finding ways for you to regulate your physical reactions, thoughts, behaviours and environment, creating a sense of control and an ability to cope.
As a psychotherapist, my role is to guide and support you in your journey towards emotional resilience and growth.
Most of my clients see significant improvement within a month.

My academic journey began with earning a First Class Honours degree from the esteemed University of East London’s Counselling program. This robust program combined varied counselling modalities, detailed research, and practical work experience, shaping me into the well-rounded therapist that I am today. I moved on to further, specialised study at the renowned McGill University where I researched issues pertaining to the mental health of the dependants of members of the Canadian Armed Forces before returning to the UK for more extensive, postgraduate training in research methodology and neurorehabilitation.
I have worked in the UK's National Health Service (NHS), initially providing psychodynamic therapy at St Pancras Hospital before transitioning to the Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) scheme in South London. In both locations, I delivered focused, short-term, evidence-based therapies to a wide and eclectic range of clients drawn from all over metropolitan London, UK. This experience gave me real insight into a diverse range of presenting complaints and considerable opportunity to develop my clinical skills in a variety of therapeutic modalities.
In 2019, I established my private practice, specialising in online counselling and psychotherapy. This decision stemmed from a desire to provide deeper, more personalized therapeutic services, which can be challenging within the constraints of the NHS system. To equip myself for this career shift, I undertook postgraduate studies to understand the intricacies of online therapy delivery and have adapted my practice based on what I learned.
Today, I specialize in online therapy, adeptly using video chat and text-based systems to reach a diverse range of individuals. This medium allows me to provide care to adults anywhere, irrespective of geographical boundaries and to provide the service that they need without the unfortunate time constraints of the NHS.
I work with individuals from various continents, backgrounds, and gender identities, championing a collaborative and client-led approach. In our sessions, you set the agenda, and I bring to bear my knowledge of therapy principles, cognitive-behavioural techniques, psychodynamic theory, and evidence-based science to help you attain your goals.
